The project consists in controlling the quantity of exchanged air required in an oven, by installing a speed variator on the exhaust fan controlled by an O2 sensor and a humidity sensor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By installing this new technology, the company may save up to 20% on gas or fuel oil consumption and also reduce its carbon footprint by around 20%. This measure is rather difficult to implement, has a quick return on investment, but requires a production shutdown during installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
If the quantity of air extracted is reduced, then less air needs to be heated for the same cooking temperature. This leads to a decrease in fuel consumption. As combustion requires an air supply, the latter will also decrease, since less air is extracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The energy benefit is therefore linked to adjusting the air intake into the system as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While several state subsidies cannot be granted for the same project, they can be combined with assistance from energy suppliers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Since 2015, natural gas and electricity suppliers are required to make energy savings for consumers under the obligation scheme. Since then, energy suppliers have been offering support and advice, as well as subsidy programmes for consumers to implement energy efficiency measures. The amount of the premium is proportional to the annual energy saving (in MWh).
