In addition to the cold production unit, this also includes the distribution system and the cooling system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"type-numerotation\"><span class=\"type-numerotation-span visually-hidden\"><\/span>Definition of requirements with a view to optimising cold production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Analysis of current energy consumption<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess the energy consumption of the production unit(s) and the plant periphery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor performance indicators and identify any malfunctions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Identification of the building&#8217;s cooling requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inspection of cold production system(s)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Determination of the various current parameters of the installation, e.g. age, general condition, class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>carry out an inventory of the entire infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>analyse energy consumption linked to cold production<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"type-numerotation\"><span class=\"type-numerotation-span visually-hidden\"><\/span>Implementation of measures to adapt the cold production system<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cold production side<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintenance and periodic inspection of the installation by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgt.lu\/fr\/nos-membres\/?selectCat=Installateur%2BChauffage%2BSanitaire-Frigoriste-Ventilation&amp;searchKeywords=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer (&#8220;free-cooling&#8221;) which consists of direct cooling by the external cooling circuit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Checking and, if necessary, adjusting the insulation of all refrigeration components, including the equipment room<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>During the winter period, depending on actual requirements, it may be possible to professionally shut down the entire production system (or individual circuits)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Plant periphery<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regular cleaning of outdoor condensers (cooling towers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check and, if necessary, adjust the flow rate of the various pumps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Replacement of old pump models with latest-generation pumps allowing flow rate adjustment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-green-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 heat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In principle, cold production is provided by electric compressors. This process releases a high percentage of the energy in the form of waste heat. This heat can be used for other energy purposes, such as preparing domestic hot water, heating production halls, drying materials, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"type-numerotation\"><span class=\"type-numerotation-span visually-hidden\"><\/span>Subsidy application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Government subsidies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-green-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-green-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-84beb9f3956b31b65474c09246582de8\"><strong>Attention: incentive effect to be complied with when applying for subsidies (state or otherwise) and subject to meeting the eligibility conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To respect the &#8220;incentive effect&#8221;, no binding commitment (signing a quotation; paying a deposit) may be made BEFORE submitting the application file or receiving the agreement in principle from the State or the electricity and natural gas supplier following a subsidy application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/en\/entreprises\/financement-aides\/regime-fit-4\/fit-4-sustainability.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u><strong>Fit 4 Sustainability&#8221; programme:<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The &#8220;Fit 4 Sustainability&#8221; programme provides co-financing for an environmental audit and action plan on one or more topics chosen by the company (energy, greenhouse gases, waste, water, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subsidies of up to 50&nbsp;%, 60&nbsp;% and 70&nbsp;% of the fees for carrying out an environmental study (energy audit and\/or carbon footprint) + detailed, costed action plan to reduce consumption\/GHGs (greenhouse gases) (medium- and long-term investment, ROI, etc.) &#8211; open to SMEs and large companies (except those required to carry out a statutory audit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any questions? <a href=\"mailto:fit4sustainability@luxinnovation.lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Luxinnovation<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/en\/entreprises\/financement-aides\/regime-sme-packages\/soutien-pme\/sme-packages-sustainability.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u><strong>SME Packages &#8211; Sustainability<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial Aid for small and medium-sized enterprises covering up to 70% of eligible costs for the implementation of a project aimed at reducing the environmental impact.
