The potential savings are quite varied and depend heavily on the condition and management of the lighting system. The standard health and safety regulation &#8220;Lighting and workplaces&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/itm.public.lu\/dam-assets\/fr\/securite-sante\/conditions-types\/itm-cl-1-100\/ITM-CL-55-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/itm.public.lu\/dam-assets\/fr\/securite-sante\/conditions-types\/itm-cl-1-100\/ITM-CL-55-2.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ITM-CL 55.2<\/a>) defines the minimum nominal luminous intensity to be respected according to the different activities.<br>For example: a meeting room requires a nominal light intensity of 300 lux.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">o Replace the current lighting installation with a suitable one, considering the actual need and the following parameters: luminous flux guidance, glare effects, operating time, ease of maintenance and cleaning.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the replacement of the entire installation, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional in the sector (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgt.lu\/fr\/nos-membres\/?selectCat=Electricien&amp;searchKeywords=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved electricians<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oai.lu\/fr\/9\/topmenu\/annuaire-membres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consultancy engineering offices<\/a>, manufacturers).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Replacing light sources<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose new light sources based on light temperature and lumen output.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_21_4484\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_21_4484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU energy label<\/a> for information on the bulb&#8217;s efficiency.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Efficient regulation of the lighting installation <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Time-based regulation <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Installation of motion detectors<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Timers<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Dimming<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Twilight switches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-background-color has-background\"><strong>Smart lighting management system<\/strong><br>Depending on the complexity of a company&#8217;s lighting situation, it may be worth considering the installation of an intelligent lighting management system. Here are a few examples of such measures that are easy to implement and will help to reduce consumption:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>turn off the lights when you leave the room<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>install a timer to turn off all the lights at night<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>install LEDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>install motion detectors in high-traffic areas (corridors, car parks, stairs, bathrooms, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make the most of natural daylight (position desks at 90\u00b0 to windows, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use additional lighting if necessary to evenly illuminate the work area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>install dimmable lighting and use it according to the intensity of natural light.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>When designing the building, ensure that spaces are optimised to provide the best possible lighting performance<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maximise the use of daylight (e.g. skylights, glazed surfaces)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choice of materials: bright colours and translucency of partitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install a timer to turn off all the lights at night.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create independent lighting zones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install dimmable lighting and use it according to the intensity of natural lighting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install motion detectors in high-traffic areas (corridors, car parks, stairs, bathrooms, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidelines for different applications in industry and commerce: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.licht.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Licht.de<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a lighting simulator, e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dialux.com\/en-GB\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dialux<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"type-numerotation\"><span class=\"type-numerotation-span visually-hidden\"><\/span>Subsidy application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-background-color has-background\"><strong>Please note: any application for government or non-government subsidies must comply with the &#8220;incentive effect&#8221;, subject to compliance with the subsidy conditions.<\/strong><br><br>In order to respect the &#8220;incentive effect&#8221;, no binding commitment (signing a quotation; paying a deposit) may be made BEFORE having received the agreement in principle from the State or the electricity and natural gas supplier following an application for subsidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Government subsidies<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/de\/entreprises\/financement-aides\/regime-sme-packages\/soutien-pme\/sme-packages-sustainability.html\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/fr\/entreprises\/financement-aides\/regime-sme-packages\/sme-packages-sustainability.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SME Packages &#8211; Sustainability <\/a><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial Aid for small and medium-sized enterprises covering up to 70% of eligible costs for the implementation of a project aimed at reducing the environmental impact.
